Schools in the area include Mt Gravatt State High School, Mt Gravatt East State School, Christian Outreach College and St Agnes Catholic Primary. Residents are also close to Griffith University and Moreton and Mt Gravatt East TAFE Institutions.

Local shops are complemented by major retailers located at Garden City Shopping Centre and Westfield Carindale.
